thread whirling
In thread whirling, a whirling ring with multiple cutting edges rotates at high speed around the workpiece while the workpiece itself rotates slowly about its own axis. The thread is formed in a continuous process.
thread rolling
In rolling, the thread is created by plastic deformation of the workpiece using special tools that transfer the thread profile onto the material under pressure.
thread grinding
In grinding, the thread is produced by material removal using a rotating grinding wheel. The grinding wheel has the negative profile of the thread and forms it through precise removal on the clamped workpiece.
hard thread turning
In hard thread turning, the thread is cut directly into hardened workpieces: fast, precise and without additional heat treatment. The process enables tight tolerances, high surface quality and is ideal for machining ball screw nuts.
