Spiral spring covers protect shafts, spindles, columns, and screws against contamination and damage while simultaneously reducing the risk of accidents in this area. They can be used on all machining and non-cutting machines. Made of high-quality, hardened spring steel strip, they exhibit optimal properties due to their special manufacturing method (cold forming). Different strip widths ensure flawless function for various stroke lengths, thereby achieving excellent sealing between individual coils in every position. Simple centering flanges are sufficient to accommodate the springs, but these must allow for the occurring rotational movements of the springs.
For vertical installation, it is recommended to mount the large diameter upward, and for horizontal installation, in the direction of chip formation.
Maintenance is not necessary; however, it is recommended to perform cleaning depending on the degree of contamination and subsequently apply a light oil film.
